About the Exhibition
With the fifth and final segment of his installation series “The Codec SYNEMATIKA”, Michael Pope concludes the creation of his impressionistic and immersive site-specific screenplay with “AYDEA: Found Objects, Ritual Systems & Outright Lies for The Imaginary Age”.
Harnessing the conceptual framework of traditional filmmaking, The Codec SYNEMATIKA fuses found items, written text, music composition, tactile & digital art, as well as set & wardrobe design as a transmodal rendering of the human condition.
Equal parts autobiographical myth and conjuring system of the aspirational self, Pope defines this work as the ongoing translation of our collective imagination through the language-scape of the synesthetic soul.
