Andrew Neumann

Andrew Neumann is an American Artist who works primarily with time-based media, as well as  text-based wall panels, and the combing disparate elements into hybrid sculptural pieces.  He is also active as an electro/acoustic improvisor, working with both analog and digital synthesis. He is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, a LEF foundation grant, among other awards. He has three recordings on Sublingual Records, and a new CD forthcoming.  Last year he was a resident at A-I-R , Krems Austria.  In addition, he has been invited to The MacDowell Colony, YADDO, The Ucross Foundation, i-Park, Djerassi, Atlantic Center forThe Arts amongst others.  He has performed at venues including Issue Project Room, Roulette,  Experimental Intermedia, Spectrum, plus venues in Prague and Berlin.  He has had one person exhibitions at bitforms Gallery, DeCordova Museum, Boston Cyberarts Gallery, The Woodstock center for Photography. His single channel videos have been shown on PBS, Artist Space, and other media festivals.
